Newborn & swaddle guide
A little guidance for a thoughtful beginning.
Start with the stage, not just the age.
Our store focuses on the first 12 months. Swaddling is only for the pre-rolling stage: stop as soon as your baby shows signs of trying to roll. Choose other everyday essentials as your baby grows.
A clear space for sleep.
Place your baby on their back for every sleep, on a firm, flat sleep surface. Keep loose blankets, pillows, toys and other soft items out of the sleep space. Avoid weighted swaddles, and keep fabric away from the face.
Room to move, care in every wrap.
A swaddle should allow the hips and legs to move freely. Avoid overheating, and check the product’s instructions and your baby’s stage. Ask your paediatrician about your baby’s individual needs.
